About The Role

As our People Business Partner, you'll be the trusted advisor and first point of contact for all people-related matters across the business. Partnering closely with managers and leaders, you'll provide commercially focused, practical HR guidance that supports operational performance while protecting the business from risk.

This is a broad and influential role where you'll act as the gateway to the wider People function. Whether it's employee relations, talent management, learning and development, payroll queries or organisational change, you'll own the stakeholder relationship and ensure the right support is delivered through our specialist teams.

You'll coach managers to build people capability, identify risks before they become issues, and help create an engaged, high-performing workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all people-related advice and support.
  • Providing guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues.
  • Supporting managers with talent, succession planning and workforce planning activities.
  • Coordinating responses from specialist teams including Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and Payroll.
  • Supporting organisational change and business transformation initiatives.
  • Analysing people data and trends to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Building strong relationships with leaders and influencing decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, policies and company procedures.
  • Driving a proactive, commercially focused people agenda across your business areas.

About You

We're looking for a confident and credible HR professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and helping managers navigate complex people challenges.

You'll be naturally curious, commercially aware and able to balance employee experience with business objectives. Most importantly, you'll be someone who can simplify complex people issues and provide pragmatic solutions that deliver positive outcomes.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a People Business Partner, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor.
  • Strong employee relations experience and sound knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Experience working with HR systems, people data and reporting.
  • A coaching approach that develops manager capability and accountability.
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience (Level 7 desirable).

You'll be successful if you are:

  • Commercially minded.
  • Resilient and confident handling challenging conversations.
  • Collaborative and relationship driven.
  • Organised and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Passionate about creating great employee experiences.
  • Comfortable operating between strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational support.
