About The Role

Junior Software Engineer / Developer

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer/Developer to join our growing team. You'll work with modern technologies including Next.js/React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#, with plenty of support and mentorship from experienced engineers. This role is ideal for someone early in their career and is eager to learn and grow while contributing to real projects used by thousands of customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications using Next.js/React, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Assist in integrating applications with APIs and databases, gaining hands-on experience with MySQL.
  • Write clean, maintainable code in JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#, learning best practices along the way.
  • Participate in code reviews as both a learning opportunity and a chance to contribute ideas.
  • Work closely with the other Software Engineers and wider team, asking questions and building your skills on real-world projects.
This is a hybrid role, at our Wolverhampton NDC, with a minimum of 3 days office. Our office is also not accessible via public transport so own transportation is a must.

  • A portfolio, GitHub profile, or examples of projects that demonstrate your interest and ability.
  • Good communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment.
  • A genuine desire to learn, take feedback on board, and develop as an engineer.
