Senior Operations Manager Outbound

Are you ready to drive excellence in the logistics industry? We are seeking a dynamic Senior Operations Manager to join our team in Wolverhampton.

The Role:

As the Senior Operations Manager, you'll play a crucial role in our logistics function, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in our distribution centres. From overseeing outbound shipping activities to maintaining top-notch accuracy and quality standards, you'll be at the heart of our supply chain operations.

Main Duties include:

• • Be the primary point of contact for all outbound shipping activities.
  • Organize and oversee receipt, replenish and put-away operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Meet receipt targets, while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Lead recruitment, development, and management of staff, ensuring adequate training and supervision.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize stock management and availability.
  • Manage budgets and lead projects aimed at improving inbound performance.

Working hours:

45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, covering a 2pm till 10pm shift 

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will have a great track record of managing a warehouse, ideally gained within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG.

What you'll need to succeed:

• At least 5 years' experience in a senior management role within a warehouse environment, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and LEAN principles.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and IT skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to lead and manage change effectively.
