Senior Data Analyst

About The Role

We’re searching for a technically brilliant, commercially savvy Senior Data Analyst to join our Ecommerce team. Sitting at the crossroads of data engineering, analytics, and business insight, you’ll take full ownership of the BI reporting layer—building dynamic Power BI dashboards and intuitive self-service – to partner with the ecommerce team. You’ll ensure data is trusted, performant, and aligned with the priorities that drive commercial success.

About You

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, and dashboards.

Build and optimise SQL-based data models that underpin reporting, forecasting, and analytics use cases.

Partner with commercial teams to deliver insight into pricing, promotions, marketing, customer behaviour, revenue & margin performance.

Define, standardise, and monitor KPIs across sales, margin, marketing, product, and customer domains.

Drive automation and self-service BI

Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, documentation, and performance optimisation.

Lead BI storytelling for senior stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insight that drives business value

This role is full time hybrid position with travel to our Head Office in Wolverhampton 

About You

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or BI development, with strong technical ownership.

Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations, performance tuning, and dimensional modelling.

Deep hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, deployment pipelines, and performance optimisation.

Experience working with modern data platforms (data warehouses, lake houses).

Strong understanding of commercial and financial metrics, including margin, revenue, ROI, and P&L analysis.

Ability to work confidently with stakeholders across ecommerce finance, marketing, product, and operations.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Strong attention to data accuracy, lineage, and governance.

Desirable / Advantageous Experience

Experience in a retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing environment.

Experience with google analytics and product analytics

Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, or promotional analysis.

Background in a high-growth, transformation-led environment.

Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent hands on experience
