Cleaner - Evenings

We are seeking a reliable and experienced cleaner to join our team at our National Distribution Centre - Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our offices, staff welfare facilities, and warehouse control towers. You will be working across various locations, including driver rest areas, staircases, common areas, and canteens.

Monday to Friday, 17:30 to 24:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain staff welfare facilities, including:
• Toilets
• Kitchens
• Rest areas
• Main canteen
• Clean common parts and staircases, excluding office desks.
• Maintain cleanliness of driver rest areas in both north and south hub offices.
• Clean and maintain the warehouse control tower.
• Mop floors and vacuum areas according to a set weekly rota (not all duties are performed daily).
• Use lifts and cleaning cupboards located in each area for equipment storage.
• Some lifting required for equipment handling.

Requirements:

• Must be able to commute independently to the NDC.
• Minimum of 3 years of cleaning experience in a commercial facility services setting.
• Knowledge and experience of COSHH regulations (handling hazardous substances), including waste segregation and cross-contamination prevention. A strong understanding of color-coded cleaning cloths and mops is essential.
• Ability to adhere to health and safety standards, particularly concerning PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), which will be provided by the employer.

Additional Details:

• PPE will be supplied by GSF.
• First two weeks involve morning shifts for training and site induction.
