As a Payroll Advisor you will work closely with the Payroll Manager to provide a comprehensive payroll processing service by meeting weekly and monthly payroll deadlines whilst supporting internal employees through offering advice around payments/deductions, communicating effectively with stakeholders and driving process improvements.

Main Duties include:
- Processing monthly payroll
- Processing statutory payments and deductions
- Pension administration and reconciliations
- Supporting with time and attendance
- Providing a confidential service to employees at all levels
- Submission of year end, P60 and P11D doc’s
- Supporting with company car and other salary sacrifice scheme’s
- In the absence of the Payroll Manager, ensure the pre-payroll processing tasks are completed, the payrolls are run, and the post processing tasks completed, all in a timely, accurate and compliant manner including the submission and retrieval of files to/from HMRC.
- In the absence of the Payroll Manager, balancing the net payment for the payroll and the monthly Payroll reconciliation.
- Support the Payroll Manager in ensuring the skills and experience of the payroll team are mapped and gaps in knowledge are closed where there may be an impact on service delivery.
- Researching new initiatives where efficiency and customer experience can be improved across systems, processes, and ways of working.
- Communicating throughout the Payroll team, broader HR, and the business, all changes to statutory and legislative requirements.
- Build excellent working relationships with Business Leaders and key stakeholders
- Keep personal knowledge up to date through external networking and attending conferences, bringing back leading edge and innovative Payroll thinking, and sharing this with the team and HR Leadership.
Working hours:
25 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with some flexibility around start and finish times.
