About The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and results-driven IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of technology projects from initiation through to completion. This role will be responsible for managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring that project objectives are achieved and risks are effectively managed.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including software developers, infrastructure specialists, business analysts, and third-party suppliers—to deliver high-quality IT solutions that support the organisation’s strategic goals.

About You

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within agreed scope, budget, and timescales.
  • Develop detailed project plans, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project alignment and smooth delivery.
  • Track and report on project progress, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage budgets and provide accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation, data protection (GDPR), and industry standards.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and progress reviews.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure knowledge transfer on completion.
  • Drive process improvement and adoption of best practice in project management.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record of delivering IT projects in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Trello, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life cycle (SDLC), and digital transformation projects.

Desirable Skills

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience managing change in complex organisations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience with cyber security or compliance-related projects.
